-simple search allows you to search everything in the catalogue - books, articles and databases, etc.
-on the left hand side, it breaks down how many resources there - what type, which York library they are held in etc, which Omni library holds them etc.

One can get to the advanced search by hitting the "advanced search" button located to the right of the basic search bar. An example of a search string for an advanced search is below. Below that are the results of the advanced search string. In the results, you will see which library the resource is held in, if it is online, etc.
-Below is an example of how to search for and use e-books in Omni
-first, you must be signed in to your library account, which you can do at the top of the screen
- to get the book from another library, click on the resource, then click on "Get it from another library". The screen will then change to include the name of the book, author, year of publication...and finally the York University pickup - pick "Osgoode Hall Law Library" or "Osgoode Book Lockers". An email will be sent to you when the book has arrived. See page linked below:
