Some resources for figuring out IEEE style

 

Examples based on IEEE Citation Guidelines Document

How do you do in-text citations? Let's say you're going to read an ebook on software architecture [1] and then check the definition of acoustic couplers [2]. After that, how about an article on hypertext [3]. After that, some miscellaneous online documents [4] - [6] and, oh yeah, someone sent me an email [7]. When you set up your bibliography at the end, you'll list (and number) the items in the order you cited them in the text.
