The Library subscribes to hundreds of databases (over 400). Some are very specialized. They include publications on a specific subject, like communications, engineering or literature. Databases may feature particular document types (e.g., journal articles, reviews, etc.) and dates. To determine if a database is suitable, read the coverage descriptions.
You can also use the Library's discovery system OMNI to locate articles. In the advanced search option, select the resource type "Articles". To read an article online, click the link listed under "Full text availability".
Below is a selection of databases that may also be of interest.
Search with Keywords
Think of keywords to describe your topic. As you search, make note of related vocabulary.
This will help you locate materials connected to your topic.
E.g., "Social media" AND cyberbullying AND adolescents OR teens
Find the Full Text
Some databases feature citations to articles and abstracts (also called summaries).
This means the full text may not be visible in the item record (i.e., for printing or reading online).
To locate the full text of an article, click "Check OMNI for Full Text". This link tracks down the PDF (Portable Document Format) or HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) versions.
