In Capital IQ, use the top Search Box to search for a company, e.g. Barrick Gold > select Barrick Gold Corporation (TSX:ABX) > the Company Profile will display as below. The left column allows you to easily navigate various information about your company.
- Tearsheet within the Company Summary section includes Business Description for a brief summary of the company together with Stock Price, Latest Financials, Industry Classification, and Credit Ratings etc.
- Financials/Valuation allows you to easily navigate the company's Financials, Ratios, Capital Structure, and Segments information where you can adjust and download the datasets to Excel.
- Quick Comps within the Peer Analysis section includes a list of competitors which are customizable using Options (to delete companies) and Add Companies (to add companies). Various tabs allow you to compare the competitors using different variables and the datasets can be downloaded to Excel.
- M&A/Private Placements within the Transaction section provides Merger/Acquisition, Private Placement, Buyback, Spin Off/Split Offs related to the company. Clicking on the date will show you more information.
- Professionals within the People section includes detailed Background and Job Functions info for a list of Executives in the company.
- Key Developments within the News, Events & Filings section includes various Types of developments, e.g. Business Expansion, M&A, Dividend Affirmation, Earnings Call, Product-Related Announcement, and Executive/Board Changes etc. Clicking on the plus sign will give you a brief overview of the development. Clicking on the date will show you more information.
