Accessing Bronfman Business Library Resouces
- Acccess to E- Resources/Databases
Alumni privileges do not include offsite access to licensed electronic material (i.e. databases and ejournals), or on-site access to licensed resources that require York authentication.
Alumni must come into a library branch to request a guest account that will enable access to e-resources.
Guest accounts are issued upon request at public service desks. Acceptable Use Guidelines for Electronic Resources apply and stipulate that usage must be for non-commercial purposes.
The guest account is valid for the day it is generated and it does not apply to the wireless network. Government-issued photo ID (excluding Health cards) is required to issue a guest account.
Guest accounts enable alumni to access databases via the public computers located in all library branches.
Guest printing and photocopying is available when an alumni purchases a guest print/copy card on site in the library. The card value can be recharged.
When photocopying (or printing) please ensure you:
- obtain specific permission or another license from the copyright owner to copy or post published material
