Workspace: Home

Workspace is a London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) product that provides comprehensive financial and economic data. With the sunset of their legacy SDC Platinum, York University now offers access to SDC Platinum and Datastream on the Workspace platform.

Accessing Workspace

Faculty and students from York University may request an individual account by emailing our generic reference email, bronfref@yorku.ca, and providing the following details:

• First Name
• Last Name
• YorkU Email Address
• York Status (select one): Undergrad, Master’s, PhD, Faculty, Staff
• Student Number or Staff Number (if faculty or staff)
• Purpose for requiring Workspace access. Please indicate which databases you need so that the relevant licences can be assigned to your Workspace account.

Account Activation

• Processing Time: It may take up to 3 business days for your access to SDC Platinum, Datastream or Workspace to be activated.
• Duration: Accounts will be assigned for approximately 2 weeks.
• Availability: Please note that seats on this platform are limited, and you may be put on a waitlist if all seats are taken.

Usage Policy

Each user is responsible for ensuring that the product is used for academic and non-commercial purposes only.
