Omni is the library's online catalogue and includes records for both the physical and electronic collections. Article citations are drawn from periodical indexes and fulltext databases and interfiled with other resources in the search results so once you have performed your search it is best to begin narrowing down the results by choosing the available facets in the left hand column.
Welcome to York University's subject research guide for Film. This guide will introduce you to the processes and resources needed to successfully complete your papers and assignments.
Getting Started?
Encyclopedias are useful to get basic background information on a topic or concept, and are good places to start the research process (many entries provide references to related sources of information in books and articles). Dictionaries give brief definitions of unfamiliar words, terms and acronyms.
