Bonus Challenge for Faculty: Connect your ORCID iD to your Discover York Academics (DYA) Profile

What is DYA? DYA is the new electronic curriculum vitae (eCV) tool for York faculty, librarians and archivists. Faculty can easily manage, store and share research, publications, scholarly and creative works, grants and other teaching and professional activities.

Features of DYA

  • Users maintain full control of their profile, including which information they make public or private.
  • DYA automatically aggregates your research outputs from public sites such as Scopus, which makes it easier to add your publications to your profile.
  • Provides opportunities to enhance your online academic presence, as well as connect and collaborate with other researchers.

DYA’s User Interface & Help Resources

DYA’s Public Website & Its Benefits

  • When you are ready to make your DYA profile public, it will be listed on the public-facing DYA site.
  • The public site allows users to search and view public faculty profiles, helping to make your research and expertise more discoverable!

Connecting Your ORCID iD to Your DYA Profile

Some of the benefits of connecting your ORCID iD include:

  • DYA will treat your ORCID iD as a source of publications and other data for your DYA profile.
  • DYA will only transfer content that has been marked as ‘public’ or ‘read-limited’ by you in your ORCID iD. It will not transfer content that you have marked as ‘private’ in ORCID.
