What is ORCID?
- ORCID is an international, non-proprietary, and not-for profit organization sustained by several institutional memberships, which includes York University.
- ORCID produces the ORCID-iD, a free, unique, 16-digit persistent identifier created for all researchers engaging in scholarly activities.
- ORCID-iDs are used by 8.47 million researchers worldwide, and by over 100,000 Canadian researchers.
Benefits of ORCID
