The Creative Commons search tool searches other independent organizations collections of Creative Commons licensed works, such as music, images, videos, and icons. Always verify that the content you select has a CC license.

A collection of over 45 million media files such as images, sound files, and videos that are either in the public domain or use open licenses such as Creative Commons license.

This collection provides access to over 50 million digitized artworks, images, music, artefacts, and books from all over Europe. Each item lists its Creative Commons license and usage restrictions.

This collection provides access to over 230,000 public domain materials within the New York Public Library's collection. Not all of the content in the collection is in the public domain. Use their public domain search filter to locate images, photographs, maps, illustrations, and more.

This collection provides access to almost 3 million 2D and 3D digital images from the Smithsonian collection. All images use the Creative Commons Zero designation.

Create a free account to download icons in PNG format. The attribution information will be embedded in the file. You will need to sign-up for an educational license to download royalty-free icons.

Provides access to openly licensed Google Slides and Powerpoint templates. All slide templates include a set of free icons that can be used with the slide deck. If you use a template, make sure you keep the Credits page to ensure the creators are properly attributed for their work.

Provides access to openly licensed icon sets; however, the basic Flaticon license requires you to provide attribution for personal, educational, and commercial usage. An attribution should include the following information: Icon [embed link to icon] made by Creator's username [embed link to creator's profile] from www.flaticon.com

Not all of the content on this site is openly licensed; however, you can use the site's search filters to access openly licensed and Creative Commons icons. Conduct a keyword search and then select Free in the post-search filters. Open the icon and review the license information in the License section. An attribution should include the following information: Icon [embed link to icon] made by Creator's username [embed link to creator's profile] available under Name of Creative Commons license [link to Creative Commons license]
