What is Zotero?

Zotero is a tool that helps researchers collect, organize, cite and share research. This guide provides advice on how to create McGill Guide citations with Zotero.

Why Zotero?

  • Comes with an easy-to-use plugin for Microsoft Word and LibreOffice

Zotero allows you to:

  • Save, manage and annotate citations
  • Easily generate bibliographies in a wide range of styles

  • Access your Zotero library from any computer with an internet connection
  • Share libraries and group accounts
