Holocaust (Shoah)

Yizkor Books:

Yizkor books are books documenting and commemorating Jewish communities destroyed during the Holocaust. ("Yizkor" comes from the Hebrew root word for memory or remembrance.) These books contain detailed descriptions of the community's history and state at the time of its destruction, and may also contain necrologies (lists of those killed), photographs, illustrations, maps, and other information, making them of great value to scholars of Jewish history and historiography, genealogists, and European history.
