Course reserves are collections of course-related resources selected by instructors to be set aside from general circulation for student use. Reserves are meant to allow instructors/faculty members to make high-demand materials available to as many students as possible.
Start at the York University Libraries home page. Under the Omni search bar, Click "Advanced Search".
Click "Course Reserves", type the name of the course you are searching for (in this case, HUMA1400) and Click "Search".
Note the materials on reserves for your course -- the library location and call number (PCOP or Library of Congress call number).
Start at the York University Libraries home page. Under the Omni search bar, Click "Advanced Search".
Click "Course Reserves". Use the drop down menu to filter for "Course Instructor", type the Instructor or Professors name (in this case, Anderson) and Click "Search".
Note the materials on reserve for your course -- the library location and call number (PCOP or Library of Congress call number).
Remember to bring the call number to the library where the reserve material is located, as it is essential for finding the item. In some cases (Bronfman Library) these are self-serve collections where you find the items yourself. In other cases (Scott, Steacie and Frost Libraries), you need to ask at the main circulation desks, and a staff member will get the item for you.
You will need your YU Card to sign out reserve books.
In either case, the call number is an important piece of information for you to bring when picking up reserve material in the library.
