  • Scholarly articles: Articles in scholarly journals are written by scholars or researchers who are experts in their fields. Their primary audience is other scholars and researchers; however, business professionals and students may also consults these journals. 
  • Trade articles: Articles in trade journals are focused on recent news and trends, as well as specific issues within professional disciplines. Professionals and practitioners in a specific field will read trade articles to keep up-to-date on their profession.
  • Popular articles: Articles in popular magazines are meant to entertain and inform audiences. These types of articles provide general business information.
