Mining Management: Mining Associations

About Industry Associations

Industry associations are organizations that have been founded by the businesses that operate within a specific industry. These associations are typically funded by the membership dues of companies operating within the industry and their websites can be useful sources of information. For example, industry association websites often provide:

  • industry news
  • profiles
  • trends
  • statistics
  • legislation & regulations
  • member directories
  • research reports
  • lists of events or tradeshows
  • free newsletters or magazines

Some of this content is freely accessible to the public; however, some content such as detailed industry reports may only be accessible to member companies.
