Scholars Portal is a repository of over 40 million scholarly articles drawn from journals covering every academic discipline. Most hosted journals are subscription-based and are available only to Ontario universities who have negotiated access for them. A small but growing number of journals are open access.

Steps for Creating Permalinks (URI / DOI) to Journal Articles in Scholars Portal Journals

1. Find the journal article of interest

2. The URI or DOI are located below the abstract

3. Click on the URI or DOI. A pop up displays to copy to clipboard. Select this and then a copied confirmation message displays

4. Paste this link in York’s Permalink Converter (see at bottom of screen) to create a permalink that will work on or off campus
