Passport (formerly GMID)Provides consumer expenditure data, as well as consumer behaviour and lifestyle information. Covers some 60 countries including the United States. Various options for finding relevant data are available. Click on the blue "i" icon to learn more.
1. Search for relevant product or industry, for which consumer expenditure data needed, using the search box at the top right of the interface. Look for statistics found in the results set where the words "consumer expenditure" appears in the title of the results, as well as looking at reports where consumer expenditure data is presented and analyzed. Note industry overviews and category briefings will be especially useful.
2. Select the Countries and Consumers tab from the tabs menu offered. Then select Income and Expenditure which appears under the Consumers submenu options. Using the search tree option it is possible to generate consumer expenditure for many different products and service industries. It is also possible to generate comparative tables for different countries based on variables such as consumer expenditure, annual disposable income and more. Using the dashboards feature it is also possible to generate visualizations of the data.
3. Select the Countries and Consumers tab from the tabs menu offered. Then select Consumer Trends and Lifestyles which appears under the Consumers submenu options. In the Analysis Finder area, select Consumer Lifestyles under the Special Reports option provided. Then selected desired geography. The Consumer Lifestyles reports provide data about consumer spending, income and lifestyles in different countries.
