Referrals: There will be times when you need to refer a query to another individual or service point. This page provides information to help you identify relevant referral points and information.

You can refer to these reference points:

Referrals to subject librarians

When referring questions, keep in mind:

  • Access services staff should refer research questions to reference services in the first instance
  • Reference services staff will answer queries when in scope, but more advanced questions can be referred to a specialist librarian
    • The bookable consultation service can be used to help patrons find a time and date for a consultation with a subject or data librarian. In-person or zoom consultations are available. Service is offered to both undergraduates and graduates/faculty. Explore link provided for more information.
    • Refer to the subject & liaison librarian list for information regarding which librarian assumes responsibility for which subject area or other liaison profile.
