This dataset compiles daily snapshots of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 testing in Ontario. Data includes: patient ages and gender, transmission type, patient status, data reported, and public health unit location.

This dataset compiles daily snapshots of publicly reported data COVID-19 cases in Ontario. Variables include: number of cases, change from previous report, resolved, deceased, total tested, tests currently under investigation, COVID-19 patients in ICU, COVID-19 patients in ICU with ventilators, Negative test results, confirmed positives, resolved cases.

Microdata file of all of the documented cases in York Region since the beginning of the outbreak. Data are revised regularly.

Datasets in the collection were initially identified from World Bank Group research and publications on Coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as through metadata analysis using keywords related to epidemiology and health care (eg. Diverse types of datasets, including clinical, epidemiological, imaging, omics, socio-demographic, environment, and transportation data are being generated on a daily basis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To make these datasets easily findable and reusable for researchers, the COVID-19 Data Index (covid19dataindex.org) collects and indexes all types of COVID-19 datasets from major data repositories, publications, and individual online sources. The COVID-19 Data Index is developed and maintained by teams at the School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at University of California at San Diego (UCSD) Health.

Responding to an outbreak of a novel COVID-19, governments all around the world implemented public health and economic measures to contain the spread of the virus and to support the economy.The dataset codes the policy interventions with their dates at the country-level for more than 200 countries in the first quarter of 2020 (January 1st – April 14th, 2020). The generation of detailed datasets on the measures taken by governments is important and can help to generate robust evidence to support public health and economic decision making.
