This guide provides examples for citing business resources in APA, MLA, and Chicago citation styles.

Note: Occasionally the author will be listed as Statistics Canada. If the publication is authored and published by Statistics Canada, start your citation with the title of the document.

Author Last Name, First Name. "Title of Document: Subtitle if Any." Statistics Canada, Date of publication, URL. Access Date.

Example:

Author or Analyst's Last name, First name. "Title of Report or Chart."  Database Name, Corporate Author/Publisher (if different from website name), Date of Publication, pp. Page numbers if available.

Examples:

Daniel Research Group. "Unit shipments of mobile personal computers (PCs) and laptops in the United States, from 2013 to 2023 (in millions)." Statista, Sept. 2019. 

"Share of internet users in Canada with accounts on selected social media platforms as of April 2020, by age group." Statista, Jul. 2020.

Note 1: Statista provides charts, reports, and data from governments, trade / industry associations, and their own surveys. Always confirm who is the original author of the data.

Note 2: If Statista is the website, corporate author and publisher of the document, include only as website.
